Bellevue vs. Kennedy Catholic – September 30
The Wolverines opened the week with a high-energy matchup against Kennedy Catholic. Bellevue set the tone early by winning the opening sprint and trading goals in a fast-paced first quarter. In the second quarter, Bellevue tightened its defense and capitalized on key opportunities. Curtis answered back in the second quarter, outscoring Bellevue 6-3 to take an 8-7 lead at halftime. The third quarter saw Curtis extend the margin to three goals, but Bellevue refused to fold. Anchored by relentless defense and patient offense, the Wolverines clawed back into striking distance.
The final frame was pure drama. Quincy sparked a comeback with two clutch goals, tying the game 11-11 with under two minutes left. The crowd roared as Bellevue pushed for the upset, but Curtis scored late to reclaim the lead.
