Week Five Players of the Game: Kennedy Catholic, Curtis, & JV League
Varsity Player of the Game: Kennedy Catholic – Jensen!
After battling through a tough illness, Jensen returned to the pool with determination and made an immediate impact in the game against Kennedy Catholic. He opened the scoring for the Wolverines, setting the tone for one of the team’s most cohesive performances of the season.
Jensen’s contributions didn’t stop at the scoreboard—he also delivered a key assist, showcasing his commitment to team success over individual accolades. His speed, sharp game sense, and unwavering support for his teammates make him a standout presence in and out of the water. It’s always exciting to watch Jensen play, and his performance this week proves why he continues to earn his spot on the varsity roster.
JV/Swing Player of the Game: Curtis – Brenden!
No one embodies team spirit quite like Brenden. His unwavering focus during practice, deep understanding of every play, and constant encouragement of his teammates are foundational to the strength of our water polo program.
Brenden stepped up in a big way during the JV game against Curtis, starting strong and battling with heart until the final whistle. He made key contributions on offense and was a steady source of support for newer players throughout the match. Whether he’s pushing teammates for one more rep in the weight room, leading the team cheer, calling out plays in the pool, or taking clutch shots when it counts, Brenden consistently rises to the occasion.
His leadership, dedication, and selflessness make him a true team player—and a well-deserved choice for Player of the Week.
Varsity Player of the Game: Curtis – Quincy!
Quincy came ready to make a statement against the undefeated Curtis Vikings. From the opening whistle, he set the tone by scoring the first goal of the game, signaling that Bellevue was there to compete with intensity and heart.
On defense, Quincy played a crucial role in neutralizing Curtis’ trademark quick counterattack, refusing to let their top scorers find easy opportunities. His relentless hustle and smart positioning helped anchor the team’s defensive efforts. Offensively, Quincy was unstoppable—finishing the game with an impressive 7 goals. His performance on both ends of the pool was a driving force behind one of Bellevue’s most determined showings of the season.
JV League Games: Arthur!
Arthur brought incredible heart and enthusiasm to last Saturday’s JV games. He gave maximum effort in the water and was the first to step up and support his teammates from the bench. Arthur created multiple counterattack opportunities, consistently beating his opponents down the pool with speed and determination. Fantastic job, Arthur!
