Bellevue Defeats Bainbridge, 20-10

On Monday, the Bellevue Boys Water Polo team extended its early season winning streak by defeating Bainbridge Island High School 20-10 in North Division action.

Bellevue (4-0) came out firing in the first quarter, outscoring the Spartans 10-2.  Junior driver George French led the Wolverines with a career-high eight goals, including four in the opening frame.  Junior utility Stuart McClelland and sophomore set Marco Stanchi added two and three goals, respectively, out of the two-meter position.  The duo combined for four ejections drawn.

Bellevue returns to action on Monday, September 24, at 8:00pm at King County Aquatic Center, against Newport High School in a rematch of the 2011 State Championship game.
